April 28, 2014 - The Connecticut Art Education Association Inc. (CAEA) recently announced their 2014 state award winners for significant contributions to the field of art education.  The CAEA represents Connecticut art educators and administrators as the state’s professional visual arts education organization.  Exemplary art educators are honored each year by this awards program.  Candidates pass through a peer nomination and selection process.  Additionally, state level winners may participate in a national awards program.

A reception will be held at The East St. Eatery in Wolcott.  June 1, 2014.  2:00-5:00 pm

Connecticut Outstanding Art Educator-Jen Leniart from Stratford Public Schools

Outstanding Secondary Art Educator- Jeanette Gumbulevich from Waterbury Public Schools

Rosemary Cellini Outstanding Service to the Profession- Maureen Berescik from Bethel Public Schools

Connecticut Art Education Association Fall Conference Proposals

I hope you all consider presenting something to share with other teachers from around the state – quite worthwhile – if you present a workshop, you are able to attend the conference for free. Proposals are due 7/14/14.
