CÆA Outstanding Art Educators Awards

CÆA Outstanding Art Educators Awards Form

It is time for nominations for annual CAEA awards for educators at all levels. Listed below are the criteria for the awards and a nomination form (above). You may now officially submit your nominations to Dawn Salerno, CAEA Awards Chair, Wadsworth Atheneum, 600 Main St., Hartford, CT 06103. The nominations will then be screened by the Awards Committee for adherence to the awards criteria, and then voted on by the Executive Board. I urge you to participate in this important recognition process. It is vital that the people of our state recognize its art educators and the outstanding jobs that they do each day with young people in the field of art education. The Connecticut Art Education Association's rationale for conferring awards on our membership is fourfold:

The awards criteria is applicable to all outstanding art educators, and will be considered in varying degrees in the selection of award recipients.

Connecticut's Outstanding Art Educator

These awards are reserved for candidates who are members in good standing of the CAEA. Membership in the CAEA for three consecutive years is required.

Criteria:

Service Awards

These awards are presented to outstanding individuals and organizations that work to support and improve art education. Membership is not required for these awards. Consider Principals, Superintendents, Boards of Education, local and regional politicians for these awards.

The awards committee of CAEA will consider all nominees for this award. Since the candidate is a member of the NAEA, his or her name will be submitted to the NAEA for national award consideration. This award winner will be recognized at the Annual Conference of the National Art Education Association.
