BELOW ARE POLICIES THAT WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT AFTER A MOTION HAS BEEN PASSED. A NEW MOTION WILL BE NEEDED TO CHANGE THEM.

March 1994 Finance Meeting

To give the Visions’ Editor, $200.00 to attend the NAEA Conference Editor”s Meeting. Made by Barbara Grasso seconded by Marylou Carlson

March 1994 Regular Meeting

To receive an award from CAEA one must be a member of CAEA. To receive the Connecticut Art Educator of the year for the State of Connecticut by the NAEA one must be a member of the CAEA and NAEA. Made by Jim Longo and seconded by Millie Bassett.

February 1998

To give $400.00 to our Teacher of the Year, (Paul Kulikowski), to attend the NAEA Conference. Made by Bill Wright and seconded by Barbara Salinger.

April 1998

$300.00 will be divided among all attending the TEAM EAST meeting in (Philidelphia) to help defray their costs.

November 1998

The two positions of Treasurer and Editor of Visions get a stipend of $300.00 to attend the NAEA Conference. Made by Barbara Grasso and seconded by Marty Koons.

All registration fees for the Annual Connecticut Fall Conference paid for the Secretary, Treasurer, Visions Editor, Scholastic Arts’ Chair and YAM Chairperson for their service.

March 1999

A motion that we give the President/Co-President permission to select appropriate additions to the teachers folder for the Fall Conference at Barkers. Made by Barbara Grasso and seconded by Laurel Archambault.

All communication and papers must have Connecticut Art Education Association INC. on them.

To change the “report” on high school, middle school and elementary to “Perspectives”
To change the September, January and May issues to Fall, Winter and Spring issues
Add Retreat to the Fall issue listings
Add CASS and Salute to Vendors to the Winter issue listing
Add YAC prep in the Winter issue and YAC wrap-up to the Spring issue
Add Scholastic winners and event summary to the Spring issue
Add Museum news to the Fall, Winter, and Spring issues
Delete Facilitator’s list from the Spring issue

To recognize retiring teachers by listing their names in the Fall issue of Visions and giving them certificates. Made by Paul Kulikowski and seconded by Laurel Archambault

May 1999

Article VI: Resolutions: The adopted resolutions of the CAEA will be made available to all new members, and annually to all members when changes have occurred. All proposed additions and/or amendments to the resolutions must be submitted in writing to the President(s) no later than April 1 of any given year. Such additions and/or amendments shall be presented to the Executive Board for review at their regular meeting in April, with debate and vote at the annual Spring Retreat.

May 2001 Mercy Center Retreat

Major changes in the Constitution were addressed followed by other changes that were voted on. All Constitution changes were unanimously accepted.
All Resolutions (7) were unanimously accepted.
