STATEWIDE EXHIBITION INFORMATION

CAEA members are allowed to submit artwork from three (3) students. A new exception to this rule is for those teachers who teach at more than one school. They may enter as many as six works of art. This exception is allowed in order to maintain balance in schools being presented. THIS IS THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE! INVENTORY SHEETS MUST CONTAIN THE NAME OF EACH SCHOOL.

Artwork must be labeled on the front lower right hand corner with the official CAEA exhibit label! ALL ARTWORK MUST BE MOUNTED OR MATTED WITH A NEUTRAL COLOR, but may be double matted or mounted with a color inside. For hanging purposes in the atrium gallery, we ask that you mount or mat the work so that it is lightweight. We are hanging on fabric so if you know of any deals on velcro let me know--we need the hook side of velcro with a sticky back...any ideas, or know anyone who could make a donation?

IF THE ARTWORK IS THREE DIMENSIONAL, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

If the artwork is fragile and is packed in a box, please label the box as follows:

TOP, BOTTOM, FRAGILE, SPECIAL UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS

Also, please reinforce the bottom of the box. It is important to let us know if the work is fragile or breakable for obvious reasons. Most importantly, "Special Unpacking Instruction" aids us to unpack or hold the strongest part of the sculpture when unpacking for the hanging. We want to keep those fragile sculptures safe.
